Company: Haberman Associates
Product: The Anywayup Cup
Summary: In the early 1990s UK Inventor Mandy Haberman developed and patented an innovative "no spill" training cup for babies and toddlers. She took out patent protection insurance for her invention and in 1998 had to enforce her patent against a large manufacturer of nursery products. Her case was successful, and she has since successfully enforced her patent rights in Europe and elsewhere.

Company: Gripple Ltd
Product: The Gripple Wire Connector
Summary: In the late 1980s Gripple developed a simple connector for joining two lengths of wire. They patented the idea and took out patent protection insurance for their invention and in 1999 had to enforce their patents and trademarks when a large American manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment copied their connector. Gripple was successful in enforcing their property rights.
